BETTER SOUNDS AUSTRALIA
Morrie Zahner (pictured) is the founder and owner of Better Sounds Australia.
Morrie is a talented musician with vast experience and expertise in the field of repairs to musical instruments. Difficult repairs that require precision and skill, from the smallest of adjustments through to severely damaged instruments, have always been our specialty here at Better Sounds.
(Our Article Section has more information.)

Morrie Zahner

Facility
The Better Sounds Australia facility is a haven for any musician, with an advanced repair factory style workshop, and anexciting showroom of displayed instruments and products.
A recent addition has been a large (and impressive) recording studio to inspire and capture the performances of any musician.

Repairs
Some of the repair services we offer are:
Accurate adjustments
Detailed internal cleaning
Like new dent removal and body work
Precision worn valve repairs
Machine and hand polishing
Touch up through to complete refinishing in lacquer and electroplating
Recorks
Repads
Tube expansion and refitting
Slide realignments and slick action improvements
Jewelery standard soldering and brazing
Customisations
We guarantee our repairs will improve or maintain the value of your investment.

Restorations
In the past we have restored many instruments, but today this process has become less and less cost effective for cheaper quality instruments.
Shown here is a 120 year old French made Brevette cornet. A full restoration was requested by the owner due to personal sentimental and antique value. This restoration required many processes and engineering skills to be applied. This is a genuine before and after shot!

Where are we?
Better Sounds Australia operates from the South-East region of Queensland, with a factory workshop facility 35 minutes South of the Brisbane CBD. We welcome personal visits to the facility, and appreciate appointment phone calls for emergency or after-hours situations. Our trusted network of courier services allows us to pick up and deliver repairs and sales from almost anywhere.

SEVGEN INDIGENOUS CORPORATION

logo main only

SevGen Indigenous Corporation would like to acknowledge and pay our respects to all First Peoples who walked this land. We would also like to acknowledge the elders past, present and future, whose land we walk on in our journey and ask for your blessings.
SevGen is short for SEVEN GENERATIONS. Our initiative is based on Indigenous ecological thinking that expects every human deliberation to consider the impacts of their actions for seven generations into the future whilst drawing on the wisdoms of seven generations in the past.
Thinking about how our actions will impact on the lives of our grand- children’s, grand- children’s children and imagining how they will be referring to us as their ancestors is an awesome thought.

SevGen operates under the wisdom of this thinking

We are an innovative and exciting initiative that operates within a 3E model where Ethical Enterprise will support Flow Education which will ignite Cultural and Creative Entrepreneurship.
There is certainly nothing like it in Australia but we are thinking that it could be a world’s first and is emerging as an education movement!

We are a registered charity with the Australian Charity and Not for Profits Commission (ABN: 46484741913) and have Deductible Gift Recipient status.
If you would like to help there are a number of ways that this can happen. See how on our “Getting Involved” page on our website.

Our Mission: To change the way the world is spinning simply by surrendering to the universal law of attraction.

Bold? YES… Brave? YES… Committed? YES… Unstoppable YES!

Our Purpose: SevGen’s Purpose can be understood by answering three Simple Questions…

WHY do we do what we do?
1. To honour and allow discovery and celebration of the True, Full and Creative self.
2. To Celebrate, Validate and Reinvigorate Indigenous ways of being.
HOW do we do it?
1. We stand strong and solid by holding the space for you to find your passion and giving you space to practise ‘mastery’ of it in a reciprocal, relationship and location based learning space.
2.We operate a number of ventures operated by Indigenous staff, all the while embedding Indigenous perspectives in a natural and organic manner.
WHAT do we do?
1. We cultivate the conditions for enjoyable effortless learning then encourage and support growing creative and cultural entrepreneurs.
2.We share, care and dare with flair!

How we do this is to based on a Community Led Development framework
